Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association (KWCA) is a landowner-led national membership organization representing community and private conservancies in Kenya. KWCA works with conservancy landowners and regional associations to create an enabling environment for conservancies to deliver environmental and livelihood benefits.

Our mission is to be the forum where landowners have a unified voice, share experiences and actively participate in protecting and benefiting from wildlife. KWCA works towards a future where wildlife and communities benefit from a network of functional conservancies that complement state protected areas.

KWCA is setting out to change how Kenya’s wildlife and wild places are managed as well as strengthen people’s rights to manage and benefit from nature.

I work with my community members in education, women empowerment and conservation.Am a vice secretary of Taita Taveta Conservancy association and the vice chair of Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association.I have a diploma in community development, business administration and fashion design.Am also a farmer which helps me to interact well with the community members in the grassroots.I am a victim of human wildlife conflict ,I lost crops and my house was brought down by an elephant but despite all these I love wild animals and am encouraging my community members to set aside land to register as a conservancy. Most of the activities we take part in need legal direction and most of the time when you do not have ready answers, you feel helpless and useless.I wanted to study law when I was leaving in the city but when I moved to the rural areas I always wish I was a lawyer.I would love to have as much expertise in legal matters and the law as is possible.I hope this network will open that door for me.
