Kishimi Shelter and care foundation is a non-governmental organization that envisions a society where young people and women are empowered for all round development. We achieve this through partnership with people and groups who share similar vision of promoting social protection and the wellbeing of our target groups.( vulnerable children and women.)

The organization was established after the founder was led to provide nutritional supplement to malnourished children in a government hospital and her immediate community Moved by the pathetic condition of the children.

  • Partnership with Center for Integrated Health Program (CIHP) in Gombe, Akko, Yamaltu Deba and Balanga LGAs to implement its PEARL Project (Partnering effectively to end aids through results and learning). Activities included enrolment of children who are HIV positive and those whose parents  are positive or orphaned by aids so as to provide care and support services in the area of Health, Psychosocial, Education, Legal, Shelter ,Nutrition and Household Economic Support (HES)
  • Kishimi worked with International Alert on its Hadin kanmu, karfin mu (Our unity, our strength) project. The project was aimed at reinforcing the resilience and reintegration of conflict affected women and children and promoting peace building and economic resilience in North East Nigeria.250 Internally displaced women and girls .
  • To ensure sustainability of the vision, Kishimi established a self-funded Institute in Gombe to train adolescent boys and girls and vulnerable women and the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) on entrepreneurial skills.
  • Presently, Kishimi is also partnering with save the children International to implement its REACH (Reaching and Empowering Adolescents to Make Informed Choices for their Health) project in Dukku and Balanga LGAs.
