Lesedi La Setjhaba Family and Community Centre works in Gauteng Province, three magistrates courts. Mission is to provide psychosocial counselling and assist women victims of GBV to access justice.

The organisation was established in 2016 and it aims at providing healthy emotional and pyschological well being to individuals and families. It also empower and develop communities by focusing on Gender Equality . It provides Women Empowerment therapeutic programme to women victims of Gender Based Violence. It assist women victims of GBV at magistrates court by doing applications of domestic violence protection orders in English and in a way that make it admissible at courts. It removes challenges faced by women that might lead to abandonment of court processes both systemically and structurally. It provides transport for women to be able to finalise court processes as most are unemployed. It advocates for them both at courts and police stations. The organisation also provide psychosocial services to these women who have been in abusive relationships for so long and not aware of the emotional impact the abuse had on them and their children. These services are through individual counselling and Inner Healing Therapeutic women empowerment workshops. There are life skills imparted to these women. The organisation disseminate and educate the communities about issues of Gender Based Violence and Gender Equality through awareness workshops, train the trainer to those leaders who are the first contact that women go to when they face abuse in their homes, such as traditional healers/leaders, Faith based leaders, street committees, Community Police forums. Other ways of disseminating information is through local community radio stations and newspapers.
