Lift Louisiana, a project of Tides Center

New Orleans, United States
Joined November 2017

Lift Louisiana protects and defends reproductive rights by educating the public, advocating for policies that improve women's health and well being and challenging laws that create barriers to access.

Presence in: United States
Focus: Economic Empowerment, Health, Women's Rights

Lift Louisiana believes in elevating and amplifying the voices of people, community leaders, and experts to change the policies behind the poor health outcomes for women in our state.

That is what Lift is working to do.

Lift Louisiana educates and trains people to discover their voices and to effectively use them to hold public officials accountable. We’re reaching into communities whose voices are not being heard and building a diverse statewide network of advocates – joining voices together to make them stronger and more powerful.

When policies create barriers to women’s healthcare, we have a team of lawyers that advocate for us in court.
