The Ministry of Political and Public Affairs is a Government institution whose mandate is to liaise between the public and the government; serving as a conduit through which government policies, project implementatins are reached to the general public and directing public concerns to the government relating to policy implementations and at the same time bringing to the notice of government anything deemed as threat to the tranquility, stability and and security of the state politically, socio-economically, etc.

It is the ministry charged with the responsibility to engage in conflict resolutions among community people, organizations/institutions; an idea put forward as part of the recommendations brought up by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Report launched by the late President Dr Ahmed Tejan Kabba after the 11-year brutal war. That, conflicts often neglected or not given the deserving attention are very likely to serve as root causes of long-term bred malices and bitterness, subsequently leading to national chaos and of course, war.

The Ministry also works tirelessly to propagate government’s policies, enabling the general public to have their say on any policy implementation and relaying those feedbacks to the government for any necessary modifications or consideration before full implementation takes its roots.

It is also inportant to note that the Ministry of Political and Public Affairs is an Outreach Ministry – a ministry that interacts for the most part with the general citizenery of the Republic of Sierra Leone from across the entire country.

My Name is Louis Momodu Conteh from Sierra Leone. I am a graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
As a Christian, I have a strong belief in social justice for especially the uderpriviledged, children and women who in most cases, fall prey to the many injustices inflicted by a world that has become infilterated by wars, hunger, corruption, poverty, etc mostly as a result of injustice.
I am that kind of a person whose aparthy and conscience do not give rest to at the sight or knowledge of an injustice over some person(s) because of their ostensibly weak social, financial, or political status without feeling some stress to take action, even if we are not related by blood.
As I sat down on my desk today visiting NGOs' websites operating in my country, I accidently bumped into Namati's website (www.namati.org). Being a strange name I met for very first time, I became curious and I instantly became interested in it's mission: bringing justice (law) to the common people
