NLIPP is community based organization founded with a premise of community togetherness in advocating for the fundamental rights of the most marginalized and underserved members of the society who are mostly women and girls. Our programs are right based and are mostly anchored on the legal empowerment. We are women led and we are also members of different women networks all over the county which not only makes it easy to implement programmes, but which also ensures community ownership and sustainability of our interventions.

MISSION ; Our mission is to empower indigenous women and girls with tools to work their way out of poverty, care for their families, and strengthen their communities.

VISION; We envision a world without poverty in which women are empowered, uplifted as equal partners in society. Women live in safe, sustainable environments that include adequate food, water, housing, education, right to own land and health care. They possess the tools to provide a better life for themselves and their families and they have the hope, opportunity and ability to control their lives.

Our programs

Education- NLIPP’s education interventions aim to break the cycle of disempowerment and poverty within Maasai society by providing children, with education access and support.

Health programs help empower individuals and communities to live healthier lives by improving their physical, mental, emotional and social health by increasing their knowledge and influencing their attitudes about caring for their well-being.

Livelihood/Economic Empowerment- Maasai women have experienced high levels of marginalization for many years. .

GOVERNANCE IN STRENGTHENING THE COMMUNITY LAND TENURE- A key step in empowering communities to sustainably manage and benefit from their land and natural resources is to enable them to demand good governance and hold authorities to account.
