NIRMAN works for the upliftment of Nomadic and Denotified Tribes in India. Preventing early child marriage practices among these tribes.

NIRMAN is an initiative from a group of youth, hailing from Denotified and Nomadic Tribes, we focus on emancipation of the most discriminated communities, Nomadic Tribes (NT) and Denotified Tribes (DNT). We aim to empower them to bring social transformation and participatory democracy through education and democratic mobilization. We believe in values of liberty, equality and fraternity for creating a just society.
Vision: A society reclaiming human personality to lead a dignified life.
Mission:
● To promote constitutional safeguards and citizenship rights of the NT-DNT
● To promote education, health and livelihood rights among NT-DNT communities
● Empowerment of women and gender mainstreaming in NT-DNT communities
● To build solidarity with marginalized communities to deal with issues of development
Focus: citizenship rights, education, health, employability & livelihood. Empowerment of women, gender mainstreaming and building solidarity with marginalized communities for development.
Impact So Far
• Stopped 50+ Child Marriages by advocating with a network of 15 NGOs from 8 districts of Maharashtra.
• 5000+ women received basic awareness on gender-based violence through Awareness campaigns against violence and provided psycho, social, and counseling support to 500+ women.
• 7000+ children providing educational support through educational programs.
• 10000+ individuals availed Aadhaar & PAN card, birth certificates, and various govt. schemes
• 5000+ youth and women mobilized through youth groups, addressing issues of civic amenities in Gram Sabha, resolving water and sanitation issues, Anganwadi, roads, streetlights, common toilets, and community hall.
• Regularized houses for 1000+ families in Indapur in grazing land and benefited and accessed housing schemes.
• 2500+ youths trained on SMART course; 75% youths (65% girls) received employment opportunities in 50+ companies.
