I have 10 years experience working with grassroots community addressing stigma, GBV HIV/AIDS and economic empowerment to vulnerable groups especially children, women and youths. I am holding a Bachelors' Degree in Mass Communication studied at St. Augustine University of Tanzania, before joined Tanzania Red Cross. I worked for Tanzania Red Cross Society from 2004 up to 2008 in the regions of Kigoma and Shinyanga as District Project Coordinator and later on as Regional Program Officer. When working with Red Cross in Shinyanga, I noticed that women in Sukuma tribe were unfairly treated with lot of discrimination from property ownership as well as discriminating girls children from acquiring education. Girls' children were married before completing education and lose their chances to develop their potentiality to become full and responsible human being. With those reasons, in 2008 I left Red Cross and establish Organization of People Empowerment (OPE) , addressing these challenges.
