About OCDC:

Otubanga Child Development Centre (OCDC) is a non-profit, community based organization with a focus on Holistic Child Development. OCDC is founded by Pentecostal Assemblies of God Otubanga Church aimed at releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Otubanga child development center works with communities and local government of Aliba Sub County in order to fight poverty among communities with focus to children in order to grow the children in to fulfilled adults of tomorrow regardless of their social status, religious affiliation and economic status of parents. OCDC carries implementations in Education through sponsorship, Health intervention through preventive measures of community sensitization on PHC and treating of beneficiaries, skill training for self-reliance, Livelihood programs targeting IGAS for the beneficiaries and caregivers, HIV/AIDs and HVC intervention for beneficiaries, caregivers and siblings and psychosocial support to caregivers ,child protection  through community awareness on child rights and polices related child wellbeing, all this to holistically develop the child through a comprehensive age appropriate curriculum on  spiritual, physical, cognitive and socioemotional which is implemented once a week, that is Saturday.

Our perspective:

Is that a child should be known, loved and protected.

Our believe is that:

  • Holistic child development leads to a matured fulfilled adult.
  • Individuals and families can live healthy lives and plan their families when they have knowledge of the right to healthy life and environment, where and how to access to information on PHC and are empowered through live skills for services within their communities
  • Building sustainable systems for self-reliance starts with elimination of absolute poverty in families that affect the destinies of children as they lack education , health, spiritual, socioemotional support
