Pan African Civil Society Research and Documentation Center (PACIRAD Africa) is an emerging organisation that grew out of a need that it is important to organise the African Civil society in such a way that will reveal the impact the sector has been making over the years in order to redefine it to become more organised and professional. Specifically, our purpose is to promote documentation in the African non-profits sector using a holistic, multidisciplinary and thematic focused approach as well as build a reservoir of best practises through collating knowledge, learning points and evaluation. We envision a non-profits sector that is robust, effectively creating impacts and complementing the work of National authorities in Africa. Therefore, we seek to improve service delivery in the non-profit sector through research, documentation, advocacy and non-profits management. The organization has a team that has a cumulative experience of more than 30 years spanning projects management, Campaigns and mobilisations, Monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability including financial management. Our objectives consist firstly to promote documentation in the African non-profits sector using a holistic, multidisciplinary and thematic focused approach. Second,we want to improve the communication and dissemination of information in non-profits sector in Africa. Thirdly, we aim to build a reservoir of best practises through collating knowledge, learning points and evaluation. Fourth, we want to be a gateway for partnership and collaboration in the African non-profit sector towards the realisation of sustainable sector to reduce donor dependency. Finally, our aim is to develop market ready non-profits graduate professionals who can effectively contribute to the realisation of organisations goals.
