Peace Point Development Foundation-PPDF formerly Peace Point Action-PPA is and NGO established in 2005 as Peace Point Action-PPA. Our registration with the Cooperate Affairs Common of Nigeria changes our name to Peace Point Development Foundation. Our vision is to creat a society were every persons have equal opportunities and access to development services.

We belong to various NGO coalitions/network at local and international levels some of which includes: National Coalition on gas flaring and oil spills in the Niger Delta (NACGOND), African Coalition on Corporate Accountability (ACCA) with head Office in Pretoria, South Africa, West African Network for Peace Building (WANEP), Budget Transparency and Accountability Initiative Nigeria (BTAN), Network of Civil Society Organization Against Child Trafficking, Abuse and Labor (NACTAL) Tax Justice Network etc. Some of our implemented activities include: . . .  . . Research on Environmental and Human Rights impacts of Chinese Investment in Nigeria.

. Promotion of Good Environmental Practices, Forest Conservation and Climate Change Mitigation in forest communities in Nigeria.

. Campaign for Climate Justice in Niger Delta oil impacted  Communities in Nigeria.

. Mobilized both forest and coastal Communities in Nigeria to stand against entities that destroys the environment.

. Mobilized fishers in Cross River and Akwa Ibom States for fishnet dialogue on impacts of oil spills on fishing etc

I am Umo Isua-Ikoh, Coordinator, Peace Point Development Foundation-PPDF, an NGO working in the areas of Environmental Justice, Peace Building, Human Rights and Good Governance. Am a holder of Degree in Environmental Protection and Resource Management from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. I have been involved in Monitoring and reporting of oil spills and gas flaring in Nigeria. I also built capacities of Communities to stand against entities that destroys the environment in both Coastal and Forest Communities in Nigeria. Joining Legal Empowerment Network will give me the opportunity to learn from others and also share my experiences. This will help to improve my engagements especially at Communities level in Nigeria.
