As an Advocate and human rights activist working under exceptionally difficult circumstances, I have deliberately been involved in human rights protection, anti-human trafficking, access to justice and peace building initiatives in my decade- long professional career in Nepal.
Throughout these years, I have been extensively involved in advocacy on social justice, research, fact finding and documentation of human rights violation especially on witch craft cases, training for Nepal police on combating and controlling human trafficking and as a lead trainer in various mediation training. Likewise, during the course of my work, I have closely worked with local, national and international partners including National Human Rights Commission, Child and Social Welfare Ministry and National Women Commission, USAID, The Asia Foundation, Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network. During these periods, I have gained excellent insights and experiences in the promotion and protection of the rights of victims of human trafficking and gender based violence.
is the network champion (main point of contact) for Forum for Protection of People’s Rights (PPR).
