Reaching the Unreached Tanzania is Non-Governmental Organization registered and operates under the Non-governmental organization Act of 2002 section 24, with the aim of addressing key sexual and reproductive health issues and promoting access to justice in Tanzania. RUT is focusing in addressing women and girls’ health related issues including but not limited to Gender Based Violence (GBV), Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. RUT’s main focus is to support and help women ang girls to realize their better lives through community sensitization and programs implementation.

RUT works extensively around the following areas: 1. Sexual and Reproductive Health (HIV/AIDS, Family Planning, Nutrition, Female Genital Mutilation, Maternal and Child Health and Menstrual Hygiene). 2. Access to Justice (Legal Empowerment, Legal Aid and Advocacy, Gender Based Violence and Child Marriage) 3. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) 4. Cross-Cutting Issues (Environment and Climate Change, Economic Empowerment and Humanitarian Aid).

Mr. Vitus Msangazi is a social scientist in political science and public Administration with Masters in Public Health from the University of Dar Es Salaam. He is a result-oriented person with seven years hands on experience in public health programs, development programs and research, monitoring and evaluation. He is experienced in project design, management, monitoring and evaluation, proposal writing, data collection, management, analysis and report writing. Mr. Msangazi has about 7 years of experience in National and International consulting, participated in more than 15 research projects and coordinated a number of donor funded projects including those funded by the Global Fund, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada, DANIDA, European Union and DFID. Currently, mr. Vitus works as a chief executive officer at Reaching the Unreached Tanzania (RUT), the organization that promotes public health and access to justice in Tanzania.With this network, my expectations are; to share and exchange skills/expertise, experience and getting exposure to different aspects of legal empowerment undertaken by other organizations.
