Am aged 32 working at Reachout Centre Trust..an organisation implementing a health and rights project for key population which includes people who inject drugs and female sex workers based at the Coastal region of Kenya.

Am the program manager in charge at my organisation and am looking forward to learning and sharing experiences with other colleagues in matters of human rights so that i can better my skills and build my organisation capacity.

Reachout Centre Trust is also represented at the Kenya Harm Reduction Network as the Secretary and sits in at the Key population consortium

I am a highly motivated and dedicated individual with the ability to utilize my practical and theoretical skills in the best way of my knowledge, in the organization that demands total dedication, hard work to its cause for the organization to achieve its goals and give me a chance for career development. I am currently working at Reachout centre trust where I play my role by undertaking the responsibilities of coordinating the Medically Assisted Therapy program, which is one of the core drug treatment programs in the organization. The drug addiction treatment program employs the use of an opioid substitute (methadone) to help people who use/inject drugs such as heroin, alcohol or marijuana addiction. My specific duties involve planning of program activities and delivering reports of the performed activities and programs, coordinate the assessment and referral for induction of new clients to the program, monitoring of the data and trend of uptake and follow up of treatment by the beneficiaries of the project, prevention, response and management of overdose cases that may be reported, community advocacy on the program to change the attitude of the public towards the program and promote its acceptability, ensuring that clients access their medication when needed, especially for those arrested or jailed by the authorities, collaboration with the management team in preparation of funding proposals for the organization and many other responsibilities that extended to the field.
