Mission and Objectives:

  • Capacity building and support for the promotion, and economic right of female mono and macro entrepreneurship, mainly women craftswomen.
  • Support and strengthening the socio-economic capacities of women artisans. Allow beneficiaries to better understand the
    economic context for any development of their social condition.
  • Organization of training cycles in capacity building, Sustainable development, economic right and preservation of the environment.
  • Trade capacity building. Reinforcement of the capacities of the structures of the Refam.

Advocacy and Lobbying:

  • For the taking into account of the woman artisan as a citizen economic actor,
  • Support her to integrate decision-making bodies
  • To benefit of social security

REFAM works in Morocco and other African countries by organizing the African Women Artisan’s Congress.

Fawzia Talout MEKNASSI is a journalist and expert on media relations and public relations. She is
executive director of the PRESMA agency. She lives in Casablanca Morocco
Mrs Meknassi began his career as a journalist. She has an experience of 25 years of business in
prestigious organizations such as the Population Reference Bureau, Washington DC, editors of
journals Marie Claire, Paris and Cosmopolitan, NY, Al Ahram- Egypt.
She created the first Moroccan women's magazine "Farah Magazine", now since 2009; it became
an electronic magazine for Arab women: www.magfarah.com. She is the director of the
publication.
In 1999, she conducted her first mission press relations. Indeed, she has been mandated by Atlas
Media Production from New York to support their teams during the visit of Hillary Clinton in
Morocco. Since then she has been passionate of PR which she made her heart business since
2004. And as such, the society has implemented activities for large groups and companies:
FAWZIA MEKNASSI is the network champion (main point of contact) for RESEAU DES FEMMES ARTISANES DU MAROC.
