The same time it was sub divided into three times into the provinces of Mumbai in 1982, Calcutta in 1987 and Guwahati in 2000. When Mother Province was left alone it had 12 houses only. In three years’ time it expanded adding 4 more foundations. Gradually 16 centres were formed and out of these 16, 10 centres are in the villages. The Salesian Sisters rans Schools, hostels, boarding, orphanage, Skills Training, Social services and Health services.

Since 2001 the province through the newly formed NGO FMA – O.U.W.C has been giving and imparting capacity building to the sisters in Participatory Rural Appraisal, Survey, Community Building, Project Formulation management, Accounting, Job Orientation, Entrepreneurship, Participatory Strategic Planning etc. These programs were running to keep the sisters and lay people with up to date knowledge and to be more efficient in village works.
