Mission

The mission of SERAC-Bangladesh is to establish a human rights oriented environment that provides spaces to achievable development in access to education, health, livelihood, policy support for women, children and youth, sustainable environment, economy, and justice for the poor and vulnerable communities.

Vision

SERAC-Bangladesh envisions to improve lifestyles of disadvantaged communities through access to human rights, health service, legal protection, education, choice of living, livelihood opportunities, and other social supports to ensure no-discrimination, gender equality, social justice and peace.

Who We Are

SERAC-Bangladesh is a youth led law and development organization having non-profit, non government and non political natures, started life in 1991 with the initiation of a group of educated, dedicated social workers with an aim to promote the socioeconomic and social status and living standards of the rural poor and vulnerable communities, especially youth, women and children through their capacity building, awareness raising, group formation and intervening with felt need based problem solving programs by adopting innovative ideas and strategic communication. SERAC-Bangladesh believes in non-directive, bottom up, participatory and integrated development frameworks and acts as a catalyst with its beneficiaries.

Where We Work

SERAC-Bangladesh has direct projects in 28 districts in all 8 divisions including Mymensingh, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Chittagong, Barisal, Khulna, and Sylhet. Further it has a wide partners network in all 64 districts across the country for implementation of larger programs.
