I am a Third year law student at Catholic University of Eastern Africa,Langata, Nairobi Kenya. I have expert knowledge in matters International Human Rights Law, Rights of a Child, Legal Research and Writing, just to mention a few that is relevant to what I do in Sheria Mtaani. Early 2017 my colleagues and I started a community based organization called Sheria Mtaani(translated to English: Law in the Streets). Our aim was to empower the youth of Nairobi county on their social and economic rights, civil and political rights and also to advocate for these rights to be protected and enforced. We also try to bridge the gap between the citizens of Kenya residing in Nairobi County and the Law enforcement agencies such as County Inspectorate and The Police in a bid to ensure that laws are enforced and protected while preserving people's rights at the same time. We also recognize that with rights come responsibilities, and therefore we organize legal clinics to inform these youth on the law.
