Arman Ali, the Executive Director of Shishu Sarothi, a premier Centre for Rehabilitation and Training for Multiple Disability working in the North East region of India, since 1987 for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), has been working to create a better understanding of the issues of disabilities in the society and to bring about changes at the policy level.
A bachelor in Information Technology, Mr. Ali joined Infosys as a Human Resource Specialist in 2007 and played a pivotal role in recruiting almost 100 persons with disabilities, thereby enhancing the number of employees with disabilities by 75 percent within a record period of six months at Infosys BPO, Bangalore. However, the limitations of corporate life in dealing with issues of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) prompted him to leave his job and return to activism. Thus he joined Shishu Sarothi in 2010.
Arman Ali is the network champion (main point of contact) for Shishu Sarothi.
