Belief SOPADI’s background is that it is a community based organization started in January 2020, by 20 young women with disabilities who are parents. We believe that every girl and woman with disability has a right to parenthood which is being denied to many of our members. We advocate ending sexual and gender violence, economic empowerment, family legal rights, access to inclusive sexual and reproductive health rights for all disabled mothers in Jinja, Uganda. We managed to successfully complete official registration as a Community Based Organization (CBO) with the Local Government of Jinja District in December 2020. Reg.
