The Sustainable Development Institute (SDI) works to transform decision-making processes in relation to natural resources and to promote equity in the sharing of benefits derived from natural resource management in Liberia. Its activities cover a range of  crosscutting issues including: governance and management; the environment; state and corporate social responsibility; economic and social justice for rural populations; and the democratic participation of ordinary people in government management of natural resources. I am a well-experienced natural resource governance and management professional with over 9 years of hands-on experience in managing forests, biodiversity, land, and policy that underpins natural resource governance and management in Liberia. I have worked on a series of projects including Environmental Social Impact Assessment, biodiversity governance, conservation, forest management, land governance, oil palm, and corporate governance for Community-Based organizations, and national, and international organizations. I have deep knowledge of community-based natural resource management and governance such as community rights, participatory decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and management through the framework of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC). More specifically, equitable benefit sharing, community forestry, protected area management, livelihood, customary land use planning, biodiversity governance, and environmental and social justice.
