I am a Civil Justice Attorney in the Legal Access Division of the State Bar of Texas where I lead the Texas Access to Justice Commission's efforts to advance language access in Texas courts. Prior to coming to the State Bar in 2013, I was Director of Texas Civil Rights Project's El Paso office and a staff attorney at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) in Austin. I focused on civil and disability rights litigation and dabbled in employment, immigration, special education, and juvenile justice. I am interested in integrating legal empowerment into my work to expand access to justice in Texas.
