The Centre for Community Resilience Building (CECOREB) is a non-profit community-based organization (CBO) in Tana River County working towards community empowerment, governance, climate change mitigation, and peace and conflict transformation. CECOREB aspires to improve the wellbeing of the poor and marginalized groups such as women and youths, increasingly using innovative community driven approaches.

Founded in 2016, the organization works among the marginalized and vulnerable communities in the coastal region of Kenya; with major development and humanitarian challenges that are highly complex and inter-related. While, Community organization into self-help groups is taken as the base for all CECOREB interventions, enabling them to contribute towards mainstream resilience building; an exceptional feature of CECOREB is the inclusion of a significant Research, Evidence and Learning (REL) component as an integral part in marshalling an evidence-base of what works in achieving community resilience, how, and why.
