PEOPLE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ORGANIZATION

Hossam Jarghon

I am Hossam Jarghon, a Palestinian born in Saudi Arabia. I am 34 years old. I currently live in Palestine - Gaza Strip. I have a Bachelor degree in Laws from Al-Azhar University in Gaza. I worked in human rights institutions until I finally became the Executive Director of the National Society for Democracy and Law in the Gaza Strip - Rafah, since 2010. One of my achievements was the establishment of the Legal Clinic in Rafah, which is full of old customs and traditions that are ignorant, which was funded by UNDP/PAPP, This clinic became a safe place for all vulnerable and weak groups, especially women who do not have anyone to defend their rights. It aims to promote the rule of law and access to justice. It opened its doors to vulnerable and poor groups, especially women, to provide legal aid to those groups, helping hundreds and thousands of them to regain their rights, achieving many success stories. In my society, many vulnerable groups suffer of deprivation of their rights and their inability to defend them. I believe that those vulnerable groups needs help to restore their rights, and I will continue to defend their rights.
