My name is Agnes Zinga, I am 30 years old, an advocate by profession. I am the Executive Director of the Public Legal Education Organization (PLEO) based in Dar es salaam Tanzania. I founded this organization hoping to reduce ignorance of the law and empower citizens to understand democracy in order to make better decisions. I believe when the power goes back to the people, we'll have confidence to apply pressure on representatives to do better, find solutions to the problem of separation of power and accountability. As of right now most of my community members are passive and dont fully participate in decisions that affect them, if we all stand as the people as a united front, then tangible social change wont be far behind.
