About Tirra Development Organization:

Tirra Development organization was established in 2009 by a group of highly professional and dynamic social workers with a vision that societies need sustainable development for which there is a need of enabling an environment for every segment of the society to make them part of the development and decision-making process.

TDO was registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration & Control) Ordinance 1961 on January 06, 2009. The TDO has unique methodologies of mobilization in different socio-economic spheres of Pakistan.

We have a strong mandate of social mobilization, advocacy, youth empowerment, peace promotion, cultural development, and intercultural harmony in the region of South Punjab.

Overall vision of the Organization:

To create an enabling environment for vulnerable segments of society where they can utilize their full potential for improvement in their lives, have equal opportunities to safeguard their rights and the development of the society through the effective rule of law.

  • Mission statement of the Organization:

The socio-economic and political development of marginalized people through capacity building, awareness raising, and advocacy.

    • To organize the low-profile communities, especially youngsters & women, enable them to participate in development activities on a participatory basis.
    • Build the human and institutional capacity, if the poor for attaining sustainable development.
    • Implement development programs to reduce the incidence of poverty and improve the living standards of poor communities.
    • Promote efforts to conserve natural resources and protect the environment.
    • Employ research and advocacy instruments for building a culture of pro-poor policymaking.
    • Promote human rights culture, peace, and harmonized society.
    • To base a local culture and traditional art institute (resource center) which should be a focal point for community initiatives?
