The Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity (UCLF) is a Non-Government Organization seeking justice for all in society through the provision of legal aid, legal education, research and policy advocacy. We are an association of Christian Legal Professionals sharing our faith in Christ, promoting access to justice and respect for human dignity through speaking up, fellowship, mentorship and defending the rights of the vulnerable.
Registration Status
UCLF is registered with the NGO registration board with registration number S.5914/5536. UCLF’s registration status was renewed on the 17th February 2014 and is valid until 17th February 2019.
Coverage
Since 2005, UCLF has supported indigent persons to access legal aid services in the districts of Kampala, Gulu, Wakiso, Mukono, Masaka, Kasese, Moyo, Gulu, Kayunga and Buikwe districts.
UCLF Objectives

1. To inform and educate people from whatever section of the society, and especially those who have no access to legal information, about the Law and their rights.

2. To advocate for, represent and advise those who have no voice and are unfairly disadvantaged.

3. To advocate for enactment and implementation of fair laws and policies which are in harmony with Christian values.

4. To encourage member participation in ethical legal practice and community involvement by providing Pro-Bono opportunities to the indigent clients.
