uLuntu Law Clinic is a public interest legal resource that advocates for and legally protects the labour and employment rights of un-unionised low-income workers.
We assist workers with the following dispute resolutions: Unfair discrimination; Unfair dismissals; Unfair labour practices; CCMA referrals; Representations at CCMA arbitration; Labour litigation.
We also provide pro bono legal assistance in disadvantaged communities on family law (marriage, divorce, maintenance), domestic violence, and wills.
Through public education and engagement on community radio stations about the socio-economic rights of the poor, vulnerable and marginalised, we are able to translate the law and its protections in a manner that is relevant and accessible.
