I am a PhD Fellow in the Department of Public and International Law, University of Oslo. My research focuses on the concept of human dignity in the context of environmental human rights jurisprudence.
I completed my Bachelor of Laws at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and my Master of Laws, with honours, at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
I previously worked as a Senior Attorney at the Centre for Environmental Rights in Cape Town ( where I led the Mining Programme and the Transparency Programme. The Centre is non-profit organisation that aims to advance the realisation of environmental rights as guaranteed in the South African Constitution by providing support and legal representation to civil society organisations and communities.

I am an LLM student, currently working on my Master's thesis.

I am researching the impact that NGO's and international civil society has on the prosecution of SGBV crimes. In particular, how the right to a fair trial and due process norms for the accused are affected.

I am interested in the impact that NGOs have had in the DRC, in relation to SGBV crime prosecution. Especially the use of mobile ad-hoc courts.
