The Victoria Souls Together Association was founded, in response to the needs that we have seen in Romanian society in recent years.
We live in a society whose ideals have been overturned, where moral and spiritual values are in the last places, we want to be an example in terms of attitude in relationships, we want to get involved in the social life of the community showing love and forgiveness, we want to offer material and spiritual help, teaching those who want, what it means to live in peace, joy and good understanding.
All this can be summed up in two words: change of mentality.
We are at the beginning, but we are confident that year after year, we will be joined by special people with whom we will get involved in the activity of the Association so that the impact on social life is considerable.
Our vision is that every child and adolescent must have a safe and happy childhood and the foundations they need to thrive. We put children at the center of everything we do. This includes our mission and values. They are our plan for the way we work.
Our vision is also for a new justice system that addresses the root causes of offense (including poverty, mental health, substance abuse, homelessness, and experiences of trauma and abuse) in communities; which offers alternatives to imprisonment through a network of women’s centers and provides services available to every woman who needs support to meet the many and complex challenges. Together we save lives!

We believe that people deprived of their liberty must be helped to regain their own lives. We work with international NGOs to use our collective voice and experience to stimulate change that has a positive impact on the families of people deprived of their liberty, communities and society.
We have in mind a society in which our dependence on incarceration will be replaced by constructive, community-based responses.
