The Young People Care Network was established in 2015 by 5 Members who were once vulnerable to create a place with activities and support services that focus on the needs of the most vulnerable populations, particularly girls and women, because their gains translate into benefits for families and communities. Today, we are one of the grass root Community Based Organizations in the region, serving more than 200 older adults and children through motivation, training, and assisting them to improve the quality of life on HIV/AIDS, Human and civil rights, Education, Health and psycho social development, Food security, Environment conservation, and income generating activities. The organization is governed by active 35-members, volunteers and board of directors who are committed to meet standards of quality and accountability when responding to community Challenges, and have communities in planning, implementing and evaluating projects through monitoring and evaluation strategies and practices, which are at the very root of our organizational culture to assess impact and provide continuous programs improvement, accountability and transparency to donors.

My name is Philly Muwanyi and I'm the Current Executive Director for Young People Care Network (YOUPCAN) a grass root organisation based in Uganda that is aiming at improving the quality for the disadvantaged population in the local communities. I’m passionate with community development in the area of equal justice, fair treatment, leadership, entrepreneurship, good governance, democracy & public speaking. In 2013, I graduated from Kampala University for Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology in 2016, University Diploma in Computer Science and Information Technology University of Kampala (2011 -2012), Awarded - Certificate of Computer Science and Information Technology Kampala University (2009/2010), Awarded Certificate in Protecting Human Research Participants, Certificate in Project Planning and Management Certificate in Project Cycle Management. I attended three months internship, worked as a Peer Educator in the Local organization called Katonda Mulungi Projects and Research Field Officer with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) I am a current Student of the Development Economics. Philly is a reliable self motivated and result oriented person, proficient in all Microsoft applications, with experience in community work and mobilization, I have exhibited a proven track record of performance, honesty, faithfulness, integrity, efficiency, effectiveness all the time of my employment history. My 6 years of experience of work in the community services has endowed me with knowledge on how to handle different kinds of people of different culture, interpersonal skills, client relationship management, technical and problem solving skills with excellent communication skills.
