Youth Against AIDS and Poverty Association (YAAPA) is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-governmental organization (NGO) established on May 15th, 2005 and registered on 19th March 2008. The Head quarter of YAAPA is at Kilima-Hewa street, Kizota Area, Block “B”, Plots no. 85/86, Off TBC-Kigoma Building, in Mwanga Kusini ward, Kigoma-Ujiji Municipal. The organization currently individual members and serves or reaches annually over 2500 youth disseminated in seven districts of Kigoma region. YAAPA is governing through the Annual General Meeting, Board of Directors and the democratically elected Secretariat as the Management Committee. To facilitate it visibility and activities accessibility, the organization has established Sub-operational offices in each seven district of Kigoma region, in the western of Tanzania. Also, the organization collaborate with other local and international partners or networks, including Kigoma-Ujiji NGOs Network (KIUNGONET), Kigoma-Kasulu NGOs Network (KIKANGONET), Uvinza NGOs Network (UNON), THRDC-Dar es Salaam, TCDD-Dar es Salaam, PANITA-Dar es Salaam, EACSOF-Arusha, AfriYAN,
