Youth Horizons, is a nonprofit, non-partisan youth led community enhancement organization formed for promoting among others charitable and educational purposes. Youth Horizons targets young people, through empowering them with skills in building self esteem, technology, business, life skills, and communication and also imparts knowledge on climate change, leadership and gender issues so the youths can take on leadership roles in their communities.

We are a member of the Girls Not Brides network (see certificate), whom together, we have developed a strategy of bringing girls together and empower them psychologically, mentally, socially and economically, under our program called Girls Mentorship Programme.

As youth, we consider ourselves to be a critical force in the development of our society. Our programs are aimed at empowering the youth to take charge of their destiny and become the forces of social social change. They are introduced to activities that help them gain self-esteem, believe in themselves, gain analytical and decision making skills, and general life skills.

Youth Horizons is also specifically designed to freely engage young men and women on issues of good governance including accountability and gender equality. The organization promotes learning, debate and networking with the view to build capacity of marginalized people, especially pastoralists, women and youth and advocate for their concerns.

VISION-An enlightened society where young women and youths are aware of their rights and duties as citizens of Kenya.

MISSION-To enhance young people’s participation in governance and developmental processes in their communities through Advocacy, training, research, and sensitizing communities.
