Youth Service Organization (YSO) educates youth to gain the skills that impact their own lives and communities, involves young people in the sustainable development work, and inspires them to take effective actions to act on their own behalf and their own terms as active citizens.  We develop and nurture talents, skills and knowledge of disadvantaged young people. At YSO, we:

-Create opportunities, empower vulnerable youth and their communities to live with commitment to active citizenship through Education and community development.
-Educate, involve and inspire young people on their roles and to encourage them to promote and advocate for social inclusion.

– Build sustainable and community health improvement in Rwanda aimed at youth empowerment through providing disadvantaged young people tools and resources.

Pacifique Ndayishimiye is the founder and the Executive Director at Youth Service Organization (YSO).His leadership started at early age when he was a class representative in his primary school until he graduated secondary school. In his community he was leading various youth groups that aimed at HIV prevention and awareness raising, maternal health advocacy and access to health care. At university, he moved into activism where he trained and mentored more than 100 young people during his 5 years university studies. He organized campaigns and initiated projects that reached thousands of people in the south of Rwanda. He is dedicated and passionate about empowering young people and providing them practical skills to effectively create sustainable solutions for their local community needs and problems. He has over 7 years experience working with disadvantaged people in the fields of community development, human rights and access to health care and intercultural understanding.
Pacifique Ndayishimiye is the network champion (main point of contact) for Youth Service Organization (YSO).
