Indonesian practitioners form Clinical Legal Education Association

On February 20, 2013, 17 law schools and legal clinics officially formed the Clinical Legal Education Association of Indonesia (CLEAI).  The CLEAI seeks to promote clinical legal education experiences in law schools throughout Indonesia, to ensure that legal practitioners are committed to social justice throughout their careers.

Dr. Abdul Jamil will head the CLEA, and the Islamic University of Indonesia will serve as the Secretariat of the Association. Network Guidance Committee member Uli Sihombing (Executive Director, Indonesian Legal Resource Center) serves as one of three honorable members of the CLEAI, along with Network member Bruce Lasky (BABSEA CLE) and  Mr. Nandang Sutrisno (Vice Rector, Islamic University of Indonesia).
