Daniel was born and raised in Maputo, Mozambique. He was appointed to the head of the neighborhood block at the age of 21 and has worked as a leader in his community for the last 5 years. He was educated at Josina Machel Secondary School and has worked as a supervisor in the PACTO/Johns Hopkins Prevention Program through the CBO-Tinhene. He has been active in the Mavalane Nucleus fight against drugs and HIV/AIDS and is a founding member of Youth Nucleus Kuyanakanya at the Av: FPLM Primary School.
