Originally from the small, rural town of Rowe, New Mexico, Deyla leads on Global Talent Operations at Namati, where she has been dedicated to finding and equipping the best possible people to fulfill the organization’s mission since 2014.
Previously she interned with the Secretariat of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland and served as a student research consultant for the International Committee of the Red Cross United Kingdom. She has also been a volunteer with the American Cancer Society since 2008.
Deyla graduated from Whittier College in 2012 with a degree in Political Science, International Relations, and French, cum laude, where she worked as the Assistant to the Associate Dean of Students, and a political science research assistant. She participated in Model United Nations as a student and alumna- including representing Chile, South Sudan, and the United Kingdom across several committees, and serving as Legal Officer of the General Assembly, Co-President of the Security Council, and an elected as a student member of the board of directors.
In 2014, Deyla received her Masters Degree in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies and a certificate for advanced proficiency in French from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She is an avid rhythm tap dancer and hiker.
