Leopoldina Nhampossa

Leopoldina was born in the province of Tete in the district of Zumbo. She has been passionately involved in issues of domestic violence and gender-based discrimination, working first at the Association of the Unemployed of Mozambique as the head of the women’s sector and then as a member of the fiscal council. She has also worked at the NGO Ca-Paz, as an activist in the fight against domestic violence and with the Human Rights League as a paralegal defending women’s rights.
