Vivek comes to Namati with ten years of experience in strategic communications, multimedia production, access to justice, and development across South Asia and the United States. Vivek draws on his legal and communications background to craft compelling narratives to inform and influence dialogue on human rights. Most recently at South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), Vivek calibrated network-centered communications efforts to challenge the Trump administration’s anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant policies and raise volume on South Asian American rights. At Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), he conceptualized and coordinated the Virtual Police Station project, a first of its kind 360-degree police training and public empowerment tool to improve service delivery by law enforcement in India.
He holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Touro Law Center.
