Facilitator’s Guide for Community Legal Education on Women’s Rights in India

This guide, produced by the Global Rights India Team, is intended to provide a community education model for human rights and civil society organizations promoting women’s rights in India.  Recognizing that women’s access to justice and protection from gender-based violence depends not only on their own knowledge of their rights, but on the entire community’s attitude towards women’s rights and acts of gender-based violence, this guide assists organizations in educating communities on women and their legal rights.  This guide contains information on women’s rights in various aspects of the law, as well as recommendations and tips for facilitators.
