Lawyers Learn How to Be Businesslike

Article reviews CUNY Law’s Incubator program, which offers training to new lawyers on aspects of running a private practice – including needed business knowledge. Published in the New York Times.

CUNY Law created the first in the nation “business incubator” for alumni.  Unlike other incubator-business models, CUNY Law’s “Incubator for Justice” has a twin goal of helping lawyers learn how to run a business (their own law practice) while helping them become lawyers in low-income communities that often lack access to outstanding, low-cost legal representation.
