My name is Catalina Denning, I’m a Documentary filmmaker originally from Bogota. I want to dedicate my career working on the interrelated global issues of the environment, human rights and poverty. I graduated from NYFA documentary program. Through my life and career I have been fortunate to have interaction and approach to different ethnicities, usually with a high level of vulnerability such as indigenous and poor people. through Eitawaa organization, I’ve worked as in field project investigator, media maker and as an interviewer, having the facility to talk about sensitive issues. This experience have been a contact with the reality of my country, facing the violence, injustice and environmental decline through the people and their life stories that build into me, a stronger desire to to make a difference. Thus acquiring a broader vision leads to a deeper and sensitive understanding on issues and a camera make me a direct participant towards a change.
