Abu Bakarr Kargbo is an advocate and human rights defender based in Sierra Leone. Presently he works with Namati as a Legal Empowerment Advocate in helping communities to protect, map and document land rights issues as part of the 2015 National Land Policy as well as environmental justice and land negotiation cases. Before joining Namati Abu Bakarr worked with Centre for Youth and Exploited Children (CeYEC-SL) on issues such as child labour, human trafficking, early marriage/forced marriage, children in conflict with the law and gender based violence. A member of the anti-human trafficking task force, child rights coalition and several other national platforms. my my expectations for joining the network are as follows:
-Opportunity to learn from other people across the globe through experience sharing
- To be knowledgeable how Legal empowerment strategies worked across different countries, successes and challanges faced by paralegals.
