Obert Bore is a legal practitioner, legal researcher with professional experience in the areas of: Constitutional Law and Human Rights; Democracy and Governance; Regional Integration and International Trade Law. Obert holds holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree (with a distinction) in International Trade Law from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree (cum laude) from the University of Venda. A former legal researcher for the Democratic Governance Rights Unit (University of Cape Town) and the Namibian Supreme Court, Obert has been involved in carrying out legal research to assist judges in determining cases before, drafting of judgments, case summaries for
publication and legal opinions. Obert has worked with various state and non-state actors in capacity building in the field of international trade, business and human rights and regional dispute settlement while he was at the Trade Law Centre. At the Centre for Applied Legal Research, Mr Bore coordinates different projects such as the Constitutional Alignment Project which seek to align all the country's laws with the Constitution of Zimbabwe. By joining the Network, we intend to reach out to more vulnerable people and contribute to the network through knowledge generation on legap empowerment approaches
