I am Dauda Sesay, a graduate with Diploma in Library Studies and B.A in Philosophy and Sociology from Fourah Bay College University of Sierra Leone. Over the last 5 years after graduation, I joined the Lady Ellen Women's Aid Foundation under its Access to Justice and Legal Empowerment program. I am the current lead Paralegal covering the Western Area Rural District of Freetown, Sierra Leone. My passion in Legal empowerment work rose to another level with the numerous paralegal trainings undertaken with support from Open Society Initiative for West Africa/OSIWA and NAMATI. With the enriching knowledge, I have provided paralegals services to the poor and vulnerable peoples especially women and girls' living in remote rural communities. I am so happy to be recommended for this leadership course for which i am so excited to participate. In addition, I am really looking forward to learning more innovative ideas, having access to resources and sharing of experiences in my field of legal empowerment.
