Denisse Miranda is a governance and human rights specialist with over 9 years of experience in development, civil society and public policy. Denisse is a Research Manager for the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), which annually assesses national performance on OGP commitments. Prior to her work at OGP she was the Governance and Transparency Coordinator for a national federation of NGO's in Honduras where she is from. She has been involved with OGP at different levels since 2011, first as a civil society advocate and later as part of the research team responsible for the IRM report in her country. For the past four years she has also specialized in civil society enabling environments, improving legal and fiscal practices for CSO's and promoting international best practices to guarantee the right to freedom of association, assembly and expression.
