Greetings! I am Joolia Demigillo, a researcher and paralegal of the Legal Rights and Natural Resources Center - Kasama sa Kalikasan/ Friends of the Earth Philippines (LRC). On behalf of our organization, I have been working with Timuay Justice and Governance (TJG), the traditional governance of the Teduray and Lambangian Non-Moro indigenous peoples, in their assertion for the full inclusion of their distinct rights in the newly-formed Bangsamoro autonomous region in Mindanao, Philippines. I look forward to becoming part of a community that works for legal empowerment, especially of the most marginalized. I am excited to witness the exchange ideas and experiences of individuals and groups working in different contexts, in ways that can help inform our work with the indigenous peoples across the Philippines.
