Interests: Gender-based violence
I am a law practitioner and a human rights activist working in the field of gender based violence and foreign labour migration in Nepal since 2012. I am an advocate and hold a LL.M degree in Human Rights and Gender Justice from Purbanchal University, Nepal. I have worked as a trainee lawyer with Shilpi Jain & Company at New Delhi, India, for three years, from 2005. At present, I am working as a Legal Officer at Women's Rehabilitation Center (WOREC). After joining WOREC, I have actively been participating to ensure women's rights in the constitution. As part of the organization, we had initiated collective campaign to pressurize the government to issue citizenship in the name of mother, among many other gender issues.

I am also one of the pleaders on the PIL filed by WOREC in which the Apex Court of Nepal directed the government to formulate laws on the protection of rape victims and the children born to them.
