Oranutt Narapruet is Senior Grants and Programs Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Thailand, where she leads the development of multi-million dollar refugee assistance and development programs. Previously, she worked as Program Officer on social democracy and economic reform at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Bangkok, where she launched Thailand’s only political debate show in collaboration with the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS). Prior to moving to Thailand, Oranutt held the positions of Development Director at the Philanthropy Bridge Foundation and Development Officer at the Charities Aid Foundation in the UK, where she focused on expanding and cultivating cross-sector civil society/government/private sector activities and partnerships across Asia and the BRICS, working on ‘hard-to-reach’ social issues, such as sex trafficking and mental health care. Oranutt’s writing on refugees and displaced people, mental health care systems, cross-sector partnerships, philanthropy, and Third Sector development has been published in several publications, including AsianNGO, Bangkok 101, Social Space, and the Durham Anthropology Journal. Oranutt is a Master’s graduate from the London School of Economics.
