About AASTHA:

 

Keeping the objective of AASTHA for development of the society in the social sector, a group of social worker registered the organization under the Society Registration Act, 1860 and name as “AASTHA” having its headquarter at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. AASTHA is also registered under FCRA for receiving foreign funding and donation for the social development.

AASTHA was established in2004 in response to the needs of communities living in Odisha and also in response to the growing need for social responsibility of the NGO sector and within the Governments. The idea was to focus on, particularly in Natural Resources Management, wasteland development, micro watershed development, forestry & agro forestry, tank rehabilitation, health sector, livelihood, rural development, tribal development and so on. This was planned with a view to enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of the existing programme. An important objective of AAASTHA was also to develop more effective interfacing between NGOs and GOs, especially those working in Social Sector. Since inception, AAASTHA is engaged in various developmental activities from creation of awareness to combat HIV/AIDS, health and nutrition, advocacy, governance, training and capacity building, community participation.
